The Hubble Telescope

The Hubble telescope was carried into space by a space shuttle in April 1990. The Hubble telescope is named after the astronomer, Edwin Hubble. The Hubble is one of the largest telescopes ever made, therefore it is very usefull to scientists. They were originally going to launch it in 1983, but at that time there was the Challenger disaster, technical delays and a budget problem so they posponed it.

The Hubble orbits around the earth and can take extremely sharp photos of other planets and astroids. The Hubble has led scientists to many breakthroughs over the years and hopefully will continue to. The telescope is suposed to work until at least 2014. The Hubble telescope has broken trail for the scientists of the world and is an amazing piece of technology.
